About Us

About GSG

GSG offers professional goaltending instruction for all ages. GSG provides lessons, clinics, summer camps, and remote video coaching. Our lessons are offered both on ice and in our synthetic studio. We also offer two weeks of Summer Camp that provides a full week of goalie specific training including off ice, classroom and skating specific sessions.

In addition to our lessons and camps, we also provide Remote Coaching where goalies from around the world submit their practice and game clips. Their videos are analyzed using screen write and voice over to enhance the learning process while comparing previously submitted clips to show tendencies and improvement.

In addition, Tom/Great Saves works with several organizations and high schools throughout New Jersey.

What makes Great Saves different from the competitors is each lesson is treated like a classroom session. Great Saves goalies are not run through drills. Instead, goalies are asked questions during the lesson on situations related to the drill. A goalie may not physically be able to perform the save, however, the goalie will know what save to make as they build their physical strength towards improvement. Finally, we take pride in building a rapport with each goalie and their family to ensure the trust is built to enhance the goalie's development.
